2015 History, Sirs in the Kitchen

2015 History Report, Sirs in the Kitchen
Chairman: Ed Benson

Now in its ninth year, this popular group of 50 meets on the third Tuesday of each month at Sir Executive Chef Ed Benson’s home to cook and eat lunch, drink wine, tell lies and engage in fellowship. It is not necessary to have cooking skills to join the group. Every attendee has a job – from sous chef to set up, clean up and take down. Typically 25 to 30 members attend a meeting.

We have several special events each year:

  • In June the members put on the annual Branch 8 BBQ where spouses are included.
  • Each September, a joint meeting is held with the Area Fishing Group where the fishermen contribute the catch and the Sirs in the Kitchen prepare it. Participation at this event is usually 40 or so

Spouses are included at two well attended
