Wine Finders 2
This is a co-ed activity with singles welcomed and each couple/person brings an appetizer to share and brings their own wine glass. The Chairman picks a host for the tasting. The host selects the wine (priced under $20) and we do a blind tasting. The tasting is held at the host’s home.
Wine Finders 2 meets on the second Thursday of even months and we start at 6pm and end around 8:00 PM. We would like to add another couple, any one interested ? Drop me an email at roncassano@gmail.com. Give us a try. I guarantee you will enjoy it.

February 2026
We held a Cabernet tasting on Feb 12, hosted by Donna Benson. The usual top notch appetizers stole the show. The winner was Donna’s 2018 Buna Vista. Second place, the Cassano 2021 Van Ruitan and third was the Dominguez 2023 Dry Creek. All of the wines were very drinkable and the voting was very close. The social time was the best part of the evening.

We held our summer “swimming pool” wine social, hosted by the Kargs on Aug 21. This was not a formal tasting but a social time to enjoy favorite summer wines.
July 2025
There is no tasting in July. Next up is our “summer” event on August 14.
June 2025
We held our tasting of Petite Sirah on June 19 at the Crow Canyon Country Club residence overlooking the golf course. As usual the fellowship and food was excellent. In fact there were no leftovers. Our winner was the 2022 Preston Farms by Carl Meir. Second place was the 2023 Bogle brought by Stepen Deness followed by the 2022 Bogle by Joe Karg. All wines were very drinkable and everyone enjoyed a very nice evening.
May 2025
Our next tasting will be in June and will be Zinfandels. Date and location to follow.
April 2025
We had a Pinot Noir tasting on April 15, Hosted by Ron Maciak. As usual, great fellowship and food . Would you believe, Ron Maciak brought home the winner. A 2020 Thistle and Quail Fist Leaf Collection. Carl Meier brought in a close second with a 2022 Wente. Our new member Tony Klemens came in third with a 2022 Chalk Hill. All wines were good and the competition was close. Another “fun” time.
March 2025

February 2025
Nine hearty winefinders braved the heavy rain and wind to taste Red Blend wines. Ron Maiciak was first with the Apothic Red Original Blend(under $10.) A great buy. A close second was Barrel House Red Blend that Manuel Dominguez selected. There was a tie for third place with Carl Meir , Highway 12 and the Karg Ugly Duckling. Another nice evening of conversation and fellowship. The appetizers added to the festivities.
