A meeting of the SIR Investment Group will be held on Wednesday, July 23, 2025 at 1:30 PM by Zoom.
At this meeting we will look at various “resources” available to us that contain information about personal financial management topics and tools.
Examples include: The Balance, Investopedia, NerdWallet, White Coat Investor, Kiplinger, Motley Fool Money, Bankrate, Morningstar, Udemy, FINRA.org, Bogleheads.org, Schwab Moneywise, Fidelity Learn, The American Association of Individual Investors
In the round robin attendees can provide their comments about, or their experiences with, sources of information about personal financial management topics and indicate which websites they have found most useful.

A meeting of the SIR Investment Group will be held on Wednesday, June 25, 2025 at 1:30 PM by Zoom.
This meeting will be co-hosted by Jorge Escobar who will introduce us to aspects of global fixed income, monetary/fiscal policy, geopolitics and individual industry/corporate debt profiles using selected material from firms and publications like – Merrill, UBS, Capital Group, Barron’s, etc.
During this session, Jorge will review some opportunities and opinions on Global Fixed Income and currency investments. Investing in international bond markets and currencies carries risks that one must be willing to assume given individual tolerance levels, ROI objectives, tariffs, inflation, interest rate changes, possibilities of defaults, currency exchange rates, liquidity requirements, geo-political problems, and investment horizon.

At this meeting we will consider whether either inflation or the chance of recession is still a concern.
February 2025
The next meeting of the $UMS/SIR Investment Group will be held on Wednesday, February 26, 2025 at 1:30 PM by Zoom.
At this meeting we will review various Outlooks for 2025, expected impacts on the markets and sectors from President Trump’s first 100 days in office, and Tax Basics.
In the round robin, attendees will indicate whether they use software to file their own tax returns or whether they use a third-party service (CPA, Advisor, relative, etc.)
January 2025
The next meeting of the SIR Investment Group will be held on Wednesday, January 22, 2025, at 1:30 PM by Zoom.
At this meeting, we will identify ETFs that outperformed in 2024 and evaluate whether they are still recommended for 2025.
In addition, during the first hour various SIRs will be asked to speak on the ETFs they have knowledge of.
Then in the second hour we have a round robin to answer questions or hear comments.
