NOVEMBER & DECEMBER FOOD BANK ACTIVITIES

Join your fellow SIR Branch 8 members in the Community Outreach-SIR Giving Back program / activities.

Participate when you can, in assisting, while supporting our communities, SIR Giving Back gives you that opportunity!

The Community Outreach-SIR Giving Back activities are co-ed. Spouses, partners & significant others are encouraged to participate and sign up for any of the activities.

Let’s get more of the spouses involved this year!!👍

Have you asked your spouse or partner to join us??

If you have volunteered in an activity previously, please contact us again for the upcoming activity that you would like to participate in.

The Community Outreach volunteers participated in 2 activities at the Food Bank in the month of September.

At our regularly scheduled monthly activity, we had a total of 16 volunteers, 13 members and 3 spouses sleeving apples 🍎 🍏, BIG & small😵‍💫.

The “fast paced” boxing activity was so cool & fun!

Imagine loading a box, that had to be assembled and taped, rolling down a roller assembly line, being filled in precise order, with food products (such as milk, oats, juice, canned vegetables, canned tuna & chicken, etc).

Then coming to a sealing tape machine, weighed and loaded/stacked on a pallet.

900 boxes in about 2 hours !!

NOW THATS A WORKOUT

  Outstanding Effort!👏

WE MAKE A HUGE DIFFERENCE!
