Internet Games
Many learned to work from home, let’s learn to play games on the internet from wherever you may be.
Internet Games is an activity you can enjoy wherever you have an internet connection. But instead of playing against the computer, here you get to play against SIR friends. New games may be started and that is where it is hoped we will help interested members to connect as well as find links. So let Chairman Don know of your interest and perhaps others will be found for the game.
Mexican Train – Currently, we play Mexican Train on the 1st & 3rd Fridays of each month with games starting at 1:00 p.m. Thanks to Danny Rinaldi, our connection is via Zoom to razzle our competitors while playing on a site reserved just for us.
Cribbage – Each month we have a Cribbage tournament where competitors play each other on an internet site while conversing on the phone with one another. Internet Cribbage is played as a two-man game during the first 2 weeks of the month. We connect on a good Cribbage Internet site that deals with the cards and counts the points.
Come join us for these games. perhaps suggest a new game for this internet connection. SIR members and guests are welcome.

August 2025
Internet Cribbage
In August, we had our fiercest battle of the year that ended in a three-way tie for first place. Dennis Mierzwa, Stan Johnson, and Greg Ryan all had 12 wins. I’m sure each had a thought of “I wish I had done this differently”. But that is a common emotion in these games. Each month we have a new tournament. Anyone want to join us?
Internet Mexican Train
It was a pleasure, on a hot summer day, to play on the internet from our air-conditioned locations. We would love to have other Sirs and partners join us. We play the first and third Fridays, starting at 12:30 via zoom that is provided by Dan Rinaldi. Don Atwater & Stan Johnson were the winners of the last two events
July 2025
Internet Cribbage:
In July, Greg Ryan took an early lead with 13 wins, and then Dennis Mierzwa and Dan Weller put chase but came up short with 11 wins, and Ray de Wit with 10 wins. The rest of us had wins only in single digits. Danny Rinaldi had the best hand for the year with a 28. Each month we have a new tournament. Anyone want to join us?
Mexican Train:
Because of the Fourth of July holiday, our Internet competition was limited to a single event which was won by Dan Rinaldi.
Our In-Person game resulted in Jerry Ward and Don Atwater being winners for the first time this year.
June 2025
Internet Cribbage
June was our most competitive month in a long time. Dan Weller was in a tie with Ray de Wit and Dennis Mirszwa when he won his last game to be the June Champion. Congratulations Dan!
Dan Weller was also involved in a couple of the Best Scores in 2025. He and Danny Rinaldi had a match where each game ended in a skunk, a first ever with us! This also helped Dan reach a high mark for the year with 4 skunks. Stan Johnson had a 40 point game, a new high for 2025. Many exciting games were reported where the winner pegged out or was the first to count.
Internet Mexican Train
Our winners in June were Danny Rinaldi and Terry Norton in very competitive games. These games are played on the first and third Friday of the month and we start at 12:30. Let the chairman know if you are interested in joining us.

May 2025
Mexican Train – Last two games were won by Stan Johnson & Don Atwater. We also play in person on the 2nd & 4th Fridays with Dan Rinaldi and Bob Beitler the winner of the last two games.
Ray de Wit was the winner in May by the narrowest of margins over Stan Johnson & Don Atwater. Dennis Mierzwa, with a 24 point crib, created a new record for the year.
April 2025
Mexican Train – Our last two games were won by Terry Norton and Don Atwater.
We also play in person on the 2nd & 4th Fridays with Terry Mason our most recent winner.
Cribbage – Don Atwater was the winner in March with Greg Ryan & Ray de Wit tying for second place.
March 2025
Competition for runner-up ended in a tie as Ray de Wit and Greg Ryan each had 11 wins. But Don Atwater was the winner this month with 14 wins. No best scores were recorded. But many close scores were announced as members were winning by one or two points
February 2025
A very competitive match this month as winner Don Atwater (13 wins) was followed closely by Danny Rinaldi with 12 wins & Dennis Mierzwa with 11 wins. Our High Scores for the year were challenged and a few were beaten. Like Dan Weller, pegging 15 points, Danny Rinaldi, scoring 36 points in a single game.
January 2925
Stan Johnson was the big winner with 17 wins, including going undefeated in all of his matches. Best scores for the year were recorded in all categories.
