Branch 8 has 9 poker groups which meet weekly throughout the month. Each group has a coordinator who decides on the rotation for hosting a game amongst the group members. The host schedules the game and its venue, sending out a reminder email and arranging for substitute players if needed. In some groups, the host also provides snacks and drinks for the game. Various games played are decided by the dealer, but there are no wild card games. Bets are nickel, dime, quarter with three raises. At this time there are openings for 3 permanent players. The groups needing players meet on : first Monday, Second Tuesday and fourth Monday.
